Registration
Payment Information • All registrations forms must be accompanied by full payment. • We are unable to accept online payment using American Express • We are unable to accept payments by bank transfer • Credit card payments (MasterCard and Visa) are subject to an additional charge of 2.95%. • Please note that both credit and debit card payments incur an additional charge of 2.95% when used for online payments. • Payment must be made in GBP £ or Euros €. Please select one currency only. • Cheques should be made payable to “PRES 2008”. • Payment in Euros € cannot be made by American Express or debit cards. • If your card account is not in the currency you are paying in, either GBP £ Sterling or Euros €, the payment will be converted into your own currency by your card issuer. The card issuer will use the exchange rate in effect on the day payment is taken and they may also charge you a currency conversion fee. • Credit/debit card payments cannot be taken over the telephone. • Unfortunately we are unable to issue invoices for the payment of registration fees. • Group bookings can not be made on-line. Confirmation of Booking Written confirmation and a receipt of payment will be sent. We strongly recommend that you do not book travel until a place is confirmed in writing. Further congress details including directional maps will be available on this website at least three weeks prior to the Congress. Registration Fee Cancellations The registration fee will be refunded with a £50.00 deduction, provided that written notice is received before Friday 8th August 2008. No refunds will be made for cancellations after this date, although name substitutions will be accepted at any time. Refund payments will be made after the Congress. YIM Registration This year there has been increased demand to attend the YIM meeting and there are a few changes to eligibility for free registration. All attendees MUST register and pay a registration fee prior to the meeting. Those entitled to a free place will be refunded the registration fee on arrival at the meeting. To qualify for a free place you must: • be presenting an abstract at YIM • be under the age of 40 on 30th September 2008 • be a PReS member by 25th July Please prefer to the Society website for details on how to apply, www.pres.org.uk Co-authors and those over 40 may attend the meeting for a nominal registration fee. Registration can be made on-line or by completing and returning a registration form with payment. YIM Bursary for main Congress There are 80 free registrations at the main PReS Congress (Sunday 14th – Wednesday 17th September 2008) available for young investigators, and these will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that if you are allocated a free registration, you will need to pay all additional costs, such as accommodation and dinners. If you have booked UCL Student Residences accommodation you can extend your stay for the duration of the Congress for a cost of £42 or €62 per night. Please FULLY complete the main Congress Registration form, write YIM in the bursary section and return with appropriate payments as soon as possible (unfortunately on-line registration is not available for bursary registrations). Bursaries A number of bursaries for €200 each will be made available for delegates with a genuine hardship. Application forms will be available from this section of the website shortly. The applicant should be a senior paediatric rheumatologist (clinician or AHP) practising paediatric rheumatology at least 60% of the time. Priority will be given to applicants who have submitted an abstract. |
