Educational Aims and Programme Information
There are many ways to deal with the problems and issues that the children we manage with these conditions experience. The purpose of this day is to have a structured approach to interactive learning and to encourage a sharing of knowledge between all the delegates.

There will be three main topics covered and they will be juvenile idiopathic arthritis, juvenile dermatomyositis and non-inflammatory pain conditions such as hypermobility and pain syndromes.

Each topic will be started with a keynote speaker defining the disease and the common medical management. The interactive case discussion will involve the expert panel and the audience. They will be based around real cases and the issues that may be relevant for each case.

The discussion will be multidisciplinary and will explore all aspects of care including assessment, investigations, medication issues, parental advice, exercises, functional activities, school, play and psychological issues.

We hope that many professions will be represented within the audience. Although the expert panel will facilitate the discussion, we would like everyone to feel included and that they have a valuable contribution to make.

We look forward to having a unique experience throughout the day and we hope as many people as possible will sign up for this exciting day.
