Allied Health Professionals
PReS 2008 hopes to provide a new format for all
AHP’s at the PReS Congress.
The programme is fully combined and based upon
themes which are designed as combined sessions or
separated into clinical and basic science sessions.
Each clinical session will have aspects relevant to
all professions.
There are also many other opportunities for AHP’s,
as detailed below.
Young Investigators Meeting – Saturday 13th
September
The YIM on the Saturday has also encouraged
abstracts from AHP’s and welcome them in all aspects
of that programme. However, due to limited spaces at
the meeting priority will be given to presenting
authors.
Interactive AHP Learning Day – Sunday 14th
September
There is also a specific day for AHP’s (nurses and
therapists) on the Sunday, which is a unique
learning opportunity and will be based around real
case studies. It is designed to facilitate a sharing
of knowledge and experiences throughout the audience
and expert panel. Please refer to the Educational
Course section of this website for details on the
programme. This is an ideal day for you to
bring your own particular cases for the expert panel
and the audience to think about and to consider.
Please contact Sue Maillard (S.Maillard@ich.ucl.ac.uk)
if you would like to discuss this day further or
would like to present a case for discussion.
Special Interest Groups – Sunday 14th
September
All AHP’s are welcome at any of the special interest
groups meetings on the Sunday afternoon and their expert knowledge will
be welcome at all groups.
