Young Investigators Meeting

One of the aims of PReS is to stimulate research in the field of Paediatric Rheumatology. One way of doing this is to enable young investigators to increase their skills in reputable laboratories and clinical research groups in Europe and to provide a platform for the exchange of their experiences. In 2000 PReS founded the annual young investigators research awards, which will be given out each year to authors of the winning abstracts for the scientific pre-conference for young investigators, voted by the assembled audience.

The 2008 Young Investigators meeting will be held from 9.00 hrs - 17.00 hrs on Saturday 13th September at the Institute of Child Health.

Registration
This year there has been increased demand to attend the YIM meeting and there are a few changes to eligibility for free registration. To qualify for a free place you must:

be presenting an abstract at YIM
be under the age of 40 on 30th September 2008
be a PReS member by 25th July

To apply for PReS membership please contact the society via www.pres.org.uk

Co-authors and those over 40 may attend the meeting for a nominal registration fee. Please refer to the registration section for more information.

Accommodation
We have a limited number of rooms reserved for presenters at UCL Student Residences (Frances Gardner and John Dodgson House). Bookings should be made on the registration form early to be sure of obtaining a room.

Dinner - Saturday 13th September
A social event for the YIM will take place in the evening of Saturday 13th, when the winners of the young investigators research awards will be announced.

Main Meeting Bursaries for YIM attendees

For the second year, PReS will provide approximately 80 bursaries for young investigators attending the YIM to attend and participate in the main Congress if they wish to. Please refer to the registration section for more information.
